Three Eagle is back in the water ready for the upcoming season. We Finally got a chance to test our new AutoEngineLube Pre-Post Lube Kits and they really work great. The Post-Lube Kits holds the oil pressure between 4 and 6 minutes after shut down, which is more than enough time for my turbochargers to spin down. The Kits are made with top quality components and I would recommend them to anyone especially in a marine environment:

I installed the prelube kit by myself quite easily in my Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 Sailboat with the Yanmar 2GM20F engine. The kit included everything that I needed. It works fine and there was noticeable reduction of metallic noise after starting. One problem sailboats have with their engines is the lack of lubrication while motor sailing. A lot of engine manuals say you shouldn't motor sail if you will be encountering more than a 20-degree heeling angle. I believe the AutoEngineLube kit will compensate for the limit due to the constant supply of oil from the accumulator tank when the oil gallery pressure drops. I have heard about many sailboats that blew their engines after long motor sailing and it’s nice knowing it can’t happen to my engine with the AutoEngineLube kit installed. RYO WATANABE: Near Mt.
